As we are a new organization, we are limited to what items we can accept. Please review our lists of accepted items, as well as the items that are less useful to us (and better shared with others). Thanks for taking the time to look and ensure that your donation is of use and support to Scrap Collective. We look forward to working with you, and sending you your tax deductible donation receipt along with a handmade card!

A good rule to ask yourself before donating:

“Would I give this to a friend of mine?”

YES, PLEASE!

  • Accessories (belts, purses, hats, gloves)

  • Architectural and design samples

  • Art Supplies (pencils, pens, sketchbooks, paint, canvases, etc.)

  • Books and Media CD’s, DVD’s, Video games new and old

  • Bottle caps

  • Bicycles, bike parts, and accessories

  • Crafting Supplies

  • Containers (Crates and tubs, totes with lids, stackable drawers, clementine crates, milk crates, label-removed medicine bottles, etc.)

  • Fabric and Yarn

  • Fasteners and fixtures (hooks, doorknobs, screws, nails, wire, rope, keys, locks)

  • Foam and packaging

  • Undamaged Furniture (things that are easy for someone to fit in a personal vehicle)

  • Gears and wheels (no car tires)

  • Gift wrap and party supplies

  • Housewares (pots, pans, utensils, teakettles, serve-ware, toasters, etc.)

  • Jewelry (costume, broken, and fancy)

  • Large tubes

  • Leather

  • Magazines

  • Musical Instruments (we cannot accommodate large instruments such as pianos)

  • Office supplies (paper clips, pens, notepads, phone memo books, file folders, etc.)

  • Packing Peanuts, Bubble Wrap, Flat wrapping Paper

  • Paper

  • Photography equipment and projectors

  • Picture frames

  • Reusable Shopping Bags

  • Rubberbands

  • Science and lab glass

  • Sewing accessories

  • Small electronics (video game consoles, remote controls, speakers, radios, etc.)

  • Sporting goods (No Large Exercise equipment)

  • Tins and containers (decorative tins, cigar boxes, coffee tins, oatmeal containers, etc.)

  • Tools, power tools, hand tools, yard and garden equipment

  • Toys, puzzles, board games, dolls, cards

  • Trophies and awards, plaques, ribbons, etc.

  • Vintage and collectible items

  • Vinyl Records (in good conditon!), cassette tapes, VHS tapes, CD’s, DVD’s

  • Baby Bath Seats, Baby Car Seats, Cribs, High-chairs, Playpens, Strollers, Walkers

  • Bean Bag Chairs (or stuffed animals with same material filling)

  • Bed Linens, Sleeping Pillows, Throw Pillows

  • Beds, Bed Frames, Mattresses, Box Springs, Inflatable Mattresses, Futons

  • Cardboard & Single Stream Recycling (Packing and Packaging boxes OK!)

  • Christmas, Halloween, or Any other Holiday more than 3 Months Away

  • Coaxial Cable

  • CRT Computer Monitors

  • Drywall & Particle Board

  • E-Waste (Non-Working Electronics)

  • Halogen Lamps, Ceiling Fans, Light Fixtures with Exposed Wires (Needs to have a plug)

  • Home Recorded Media (VHS, Cassette, etc.)

  • Household Chemical Products such as pesticides, drain cleaner, oven cleaner, aerosols, and other environmentally unfriendly waste products.

  • Household Recycling

  • Humidifiers, Vaporizers

  • Large Appliances (Washers, Dryers, Refrigerators, Stoves, Etc.)

  • Large exercise equipment (treadmills, elliptical machines, etc) 

  • Light Bulbs (All Kinds, Any Kind!)

  • Medical Supplies (All Kinds, including crutches, braces, boots, wheel chairs)

  • Moldy or Mildew Covered items

  • Personal care items such as shampoo, conditioner, nail polish remover, shaving cream, hairsprays, or shavers

  • Printers, Scanners, Copiers

  • Sheets of unframed glass

  • Sheets of unframed mirror

  • Slide Tray Carousels

  • Styrofoam

  • Taxidermy items

  • Toxic Materials

  • Tube Televisions (Anything Not Flat Screen)

  • Vacuums, Steamers, Rug Cleaners
